Drift is inspired by the undulating hills ,with a patchwork of rolling fields in the foreground. I have endeavored to create the softness of the landscape in The Lake District that I visit regularly.
The process of making this piece is complex and time consuming. It involves a reactive technique . The main body of the type of glass used is Sulphur based which allows wonderful reactions with the pure silver leaf, gold mica and copper trapped in between the layers. This piece is timeless and will marry into any interior effortlessly.
